Josh and Maggie kicked off our 2018 wedding season with a elegant purple affair at Drury Lane in Oakrbook, Illinois. The ceremony was so romantic, and took place at Maggie’s high school, Marist High School. The priest even read aloud Josh’s letter that he wrote to Maggie during the ceremony which made it even more memorable. After the ceremony we went over to The Hyatt Campus to take some photos around the grounds, which everyone braved Chicago’s march weather for the Mr & Mrs :)
As soon as you walked into Drury lane, you are overswept with romantic decor, from their giant chandeliers to the room surrounded with candles. The speeches were VERY memorable, as you can tell by some of the reaction photos! But, the icing on the cake was when Josh surprised three women in his life to share the mother/son dance with, since he lost his mother a few years earlier. The first, his sister, who clearly had no idea by her reaction, then his new mother in law, and lastly his grandmother.
The whole day was filled with love, some tears, and a lot of laughter. I am so sad that this wedding was so early in the season because I truly was looking forward to this one so much and I cannot believe it is already over!!! How did that happen so fast?!?
