Ron made several attempts to date Marie throughout high school, the two of them had lots of mutual friends. Even though Ron attended St. Rita High School and Marie went to Queen of Peace, they quickly became good friends and regularly saw each other throughout summer and college. It wasn’t until their mid 20’s, which felt like an eternity to Ron, for Marie to realize that this guy was always there for her and to see him more than just a friend. They became official in December of 2011, and dating for three years before Ron decided to ask Marie to marry him. Ron and Marie just purchased their first home together, and Ron proposed on the first night in their new home in front of all of their family and friends. Exactly a year later, they were married where Ron went to school St. Rita.
Marie and the ladies got ready at her mom’s house in Chicago, and even though it poured all morning the rain seemed to have stopped at all of the right times! Ron got ready with his boys at his house just a few miles away from Marie’s parents. The ceremony at St. Rita was so beautiful, and Danny & I found a perfect hiding spot behind the alter to catch some close-ups of Ron & Marie. We stayed at St. Rita for some fun bridal party photos on the football field before going to their reception at Ruffled Feathers Golf Course in Lemont. The skies cleared up, and we had a beautiful breeze for photos outside. The reception had many forms of entertainment, first a mariachi band and then the Chicago Police Departments Bagpipes & Drums of the Emerald Society performed. In addition to these professionals, Marie’s maid of honor re-wrote the lyrics to NSync and sang for Ron & Marie! It was such a fun reception filled with dancing, and Ron’s humorous personality made another appearance during the garter belt removal (see photos below). Thank you for letting me capture your wedding day! Both of you are such a kind and loving couple, and your bridal party was a blast to hang out with all day :)
