Zack + Abby’s wedding was really every little girl’s dream come true! These two are such a compassionate, kind couple that reflect in their relationship for each other. Both families were so incredibly welcoming, and immediately treated us like family! Both sides got ready at the Westin which is across the street from The John Handcock. The ladies got hair and makeup done at Mario Tricoci, also just a short walk across the street on Michigan Avenue! If you haven’t been to this Mario Tricoci you have to check it out, it is massive and they have a staff of over 50 artists!! The girls all looked absolutely stunning, especially since Abby decided to go with a very black and white formal wedding. Zack and Abby decided to do a first look, so we can go to North Avenue beach to get photos of the bridal party before the ceremony. It allowed for so much more time, and it allowed them to really enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests! The timeless combination of black and white really brought out the elegance of the Chicago Icon, The Signature Room. Guests were dazzled by the view 95 floors above the city, overlooking both Lake Michigan and the skyline. Not only did they have a beautiful cake with the skyline, they had THREE cakes! One cake was a surprise to Zack from Abby of the Iowa Hawkeyes Football Stadium, and the other had a special cake topper from Abby’s mothers and grandmothers cakes, and the three generations cut it together! :) What an amazing way to honor the family! We were SO honored to photograph this wedding, it is absolutely one of my all time favorites!
